Post von einem Leser von The Elephant Keeper’s Daughter, Mail from a reader of The Elephant Keeper’s Daughter

War das eine schöne Überraschung als wir diese Mail aus London von einem Leser unseres Romans The Elephant Keeper’s Daughter bekamen. Wir waren so berührt und freuen uns, dass wir die Mail hier wiedergeben dürfen:

What a wonderful surprise was this mail from London. A reader of The Elephant Keeper’s Daughter found very warm words for our novel which touched us deeply. Thank you, Luciano that you allowed us to post your mail here.

Dear Julia and Horst,
I just finished reading your novel. I lived many years and still have a house near Kandy and I’m passionate about Sri Lanka culture and history. I could feel myself witnessing the events as I was one of the protagonists, so good and accurate is your way of describing places and jungles I know well, you have done really a marvellous work In setting the scene and developing such a poignant, emotional story along the tropical background.
I should be in Sri Lanka right now enjoying my holidays at home, instead I’m on lockdown in London where I work and live but your beautiful work has taken me there without travelling and it has been a joy to read your work.
Thank you.
Best regards
Luciano

Special offer for US-readers: The Girl with the golden Scissors

Soon out – The Girl with the golden Scissors

We are so excited! On 21st January our third novel with amazoncrossing will be available. The Girl with the golden Scissors is set in imperial Vienna and deals with the changeful fate of Fanny Schindler who never stops fighting for her dreams.

The novel first appeared in Germany and was edited by Amazon Crossing. The translation is by Debora Langton who managed wonderfully to capture the spirit of 19th century Vienna. We also love the lavish Cover.
