Dear Julia and Horst,
I just finished reading your novel. I lived many years and still have a house near Kandy and I’m passionate about Sri Lanka culture and history. I could feel myself witnessing the events as I was one of the protagonists, so good and accurate is your way of describing places and jungles I know well, you have done really a marvellous work In setting the scene and developing such a poignant, emotional story along the tropical background.
I should be in Sri Lanka right now enjoying my holidays at home, instead I’m on lockdown in London where I work and live but your beautiful work has taken me there without travelling and it has been a joy to read your work.
